The TBS Youth Choir is directed by Gerri Blum and
Cantor Ofer
Barnoy. It is comprised of a special group of singers between the
ages of 10 - 17 who are admitted by audition or by invitation from
the Cantor. The choir rehearses twice a week and performs an
eclectic repertoire at events at the temple and the long Island
community. There is a special section for High School students which
performs SATB choral arrangements.
In addition, Temple Beth Sholom is proud to be an incorporated
chapter of HaZamir, the International Jewish High School Choir which
features children in grades 8-12. HaZamir, founded and directed by
world renowned Matthew Lazar, is recognized as the world's premier
choir for Jewish High Schoolers and performs at a very high level,
winning awards in competitions in America and abroad. Contact Cantor
